Sweet Omelette

First blog post ever, ahhhh!

I’ve been thinking about starting a blog for a while now, but never quite committed to the idea. Do people still read blogs? Will anyone care? Do I even have anything interesting to blog about? I’m still not sure, but decided to give blogging a go regardless!

So first up is my current favourite breakfast, a sweet omelette. The very concept seems to confuse people – aren’t omelettes supposed to be savoury? The best way I can describe the taste is like a very eggy pancake. And it’s so much less effort than pancakes #winning

Sweet Omelette (serves 1)

  • 2 large eggs
  • 100g egg whites
  • A dash of almond milk
  • Low calorie cooking spray or coconut oil
  • Myprotein toffee flavdrops
  • Optional: dash of cinnamon, 1 tsp vanilla essence, or any other kind of flavouring you want to experiment with

  • Heat up a non-stick frying pan and spray with some low calorie spray or coconut oil
  • Crack the eggs into a small bowl or mug
  • Add the egg whites, milk and 3-5 toffee flavdrops (or alternative)
  • Beat until all ingredients mixed
  • Add to the heated frying pan
  • When the bottom is cooked flip over the omelette, or alternatively put the frying pan under the grill to finish it off
  • Slide onto a plate and add whatever toppings you wish (see below for ideas)
