Sweet Freedom Review

Hey guys! I’m back blogging after a little hiatus during my exams! So happy it’s summer and I can finally give my little blog some love ❤

The lovely people at Sweet Freedom sent me out a selection of their products to try – they clearly noticed I’m obsessed with Choc Shot! I got to sample the original Choc Shot, Fruit Syrup, and the two new Choc Shot flavours, orange spice and coconut.

Since, I’m already in love with Choc Shot, it’s no surprise I enjoyed trying it again! It’s really macro friendly, with only 2.9g carbs, 0.2g fat, 0.2g protein and 14 kcal per 5g. I know 5g doesn’t seem like a lot, but it’s actually a pretty decent drizzle of it, and  I rarely use much more as a topping! It’s also dairy free, making it suitable for vegan and lactose-free diets. I absolutely loved the new Choc Shot Orange Spice flavour – my favourite of all the products by far! It’s like a drizzle of Terry’s Chocolate Orange, but healthier! The Choc Shot Coconut flavour was pretty good too, but not as tasty as the Orange one. I love drizzling Choc Shot on pancakes, oats, sweet omelettes – it works with basically anything sweet! Funnily enough, the only thing I wouldn’t recommend it for is its intended use – as hot chocolate! I have yet to make decent-tasting hot chocolate with it, I just don’t think it really works that well.. It’s definitely better used like a syrup!

I also got to try the fruit syrup, which I didn’t have before. It was really tasty, and really handy as an alternative to honey! Again the macros are great, with only 13kcal per 5g serving! It’s free from nuts, dairy, and gluten, and would make a great alternative to honey in a vegan diet! I like to use it as a topping for pancakes, oats, yoghurt, and in baking. Highly would recommend!

Thanks again to Sweet Freedoms for the products, they were a pleasure to sample! If I were to recommend one product to try it’d definitely be the Choc Shot Orange Spice! And I hope you guys enjoyed this review – let me know if you’d like to see more posts like this.

Please note: I was sent the products to review, and all opinions are honest and completely my own.
